“Both my father and I have been studying with Sensei Duane for most of my life and in my 30’s I’m more motivated now than ever. Our dojo has a diverse pedigree of teachers. Al Ford was a painter, Duane Lucia studied science and psychology and his son Noah was a college athlete. That said, we cover a lot. I recommend Boston Budo to anyone, regardless of age or experience level.”

“This summer I had the unique opportunity to join my daughter and participate in karate lessons. Both of us had an amazing experience that included moments of laughter, endurance, challenge, excitement and joy. Between classes we found ourselves not only practicing the physical aspects of karate, but also thinking about the ideas and concepts that were discussed in class such as persistence, patience and mind and body connection. Sensei Noah is a fantastic teacher and we feel fortunate that our daughter joined his program!”

“I've studied with Sensei Duane Lucia since the early 1980's and his son Noah since the early 2000's. Both of them are excellent instructors as well as martial artists. Their approach to teaching is all encompassing and my health, confidence and fighting skills have all improved 20 fold. Their classes are fun, seeped in tradition and innovative. I can not recommend them highly enough.”
